Meanwhile, in the nearby village of Wakefield, a vibrant community hub known as Café Le Hibou was born in 2009. Inspired by the iconic Chelsea Hotel in New York City, which resonated deeply with the owner's soul, Motel Chelsea emerged as a tribute to the legendary Leonard Cohen, one of Quebec's cherished artists. Just like the Chelsea Hotel immortalized in Cohen's evocative song, Motel Chelsea beckoned, offering a destiny that simply had to be embraced.
