Erivan GD Brings Brazilian Jazz Fusion to Chelsea
If you’re looking to dive into a vibrant musical experience that blends jazz with Brazilian roots, mark your calendar for November 10th. Erivan GD, a Brazilian bassist and composer, will be performing at La Fab sur Mill in Chelsea, Quebec, and this is not a show you’ll want to miss. Known for his unique fusion of jazz and Brazilian music, Erivan’s sound is the result of years of experimentation and intuition, influenced by his upbringing in the culturally rich outskirts of São Paulo.

A Journey Through Music and Culture

Erivan’s story began in the punk rock scene in 2001, but his passion for music led him to explore a wider range of genres. From jazz to pop to traditional Brazilian music, his talent has taken him on a professional journey through Brazil, Mexico, and now Canada. With a bachelor’s degree in music performance – jazz from Unicamp in Brazil and a master’s degree from Unicamp/Unam, he’s also pursuing his Ph.D. in music at McGill University. It’s clear that his musical roots run deep, and his performances are filled with a blend of styles that reflect his diverse background.

Erivan's Latest Project: Collectives

One of the most exciting aspects of Erivan’s career is his project Collectives, a series of three audiovisual albums that invite collaboration from a variety of artists. These albums—Blue Collective, Collectif Rouge, and Coletivo Amarelo—are inspired by the stories of people around him and bring together musicians, visual artists, and sound designers to create a truly participatory musical experience. Each project is an evolving conversation, open to diverse visions and artistic perspectives.

A Global Performer Making Waves Locally

Throughout his career, Erivan has performed at venues and festivals across Brazil, Mexico, and Canada. His unique sound and innovative approach to music have left a lasting impression wherever he goes. Now, he’s bringing that energy to Chelsea for an intimate evening of Brazilian jazz fusion at La Fab sur Mill.

Join him on November 10th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm for an unforgettable afternoon of music. Tickets are $30, and seating is limited, so be sure to secure your spot early. Whether you’re a fan of jazz, Brazilian music, or just curious to experience something new, this event promises to be a highlight in Chelsea’s cultural calendar.
